Terms of Service
By downloading or using Rovia you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully.
Safety comes first. Rovia is a ride recording app. It is not a navigation system, a driver assistance system or a safety device. Start recording before you set off, do not interact with your phone while driving or riding, and always follow local traffic law.
1. Parties and acceptance
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") apply between Rovia ("we"), which provides the Rovia mobile app and the getrovia.co website (together, the "Service"), and you, the person using the Service (the "user"). By using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.
2. What the Service does
Rovia lets you record rides with GPS, view your routes and statistics, keep vehicles in a garage, take part in weekly leaderboards with friends and generate share cards from your rides. We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service, its features or its content, with or without notice.
3. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and current, for the security of your account and for everything that happens under it.
- You may not transfer your account to someone else. Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorised use.
- You can delete your account from inside the app at any time (how).
4. Riding safely and your responsibility
- You must use the Service only in ways the law allows and in line with safe driving and riding practice.
- Interacting with the app while driving or riding is dangerous and is illegal in many countries. Start, stop and review recordings only when your vehicle is safely stopped.
- The speed, distance and route figures Rovia shows are GPS-derived and may be inaccurate. They must not be relied on for compliance with speed limits, for legal proceedings or for any safety-critical decision.
- Weekly leaderboards and statistics exist for enjoyment and motivation. They do not encourage exceeding speed limits, racing or dangerous riding; using the Service that way breaches these Terms and may result in your account being closed.
- You alone are responsible for how you drive or ride and for complying with traffic law.
5. Your content
- The photos you upload, the ride names you write and the share cards you create (your "Content") belong to you.
- So that we can operate the Service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to store, process, display and — on your instruction — share your Content. That licence ends when you delete the Content; copies held in backups are removed within a reasonable period.
- You confirm that you hold the rights needed for the Content you upload and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
6. Prohibited use
You agree not to:
- Post content that is unlawful, dangerous, harassing, hateful or that violates the rights of others;
- Fabricate location or ride data, or manipulate the leaderboards;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, reverse engineer it, or scrape data with automated tools;
- Impersonate another person or organisation;
- Resell the Service commercially or integrate it into another product without permission.
7. Intellectual property
The Rovia name, logo, design, software and all material other than your Content belong to Rovia and are protected by intellectual property law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in line with these Terms.
8. Subscriptions and payments
- Some features require a paid subscription. Prices are shown in the app at the point of purchase.
- Payments and subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Refunds are assessed by Apple.
9. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, from inaccuracies in GPS or location data, from data loss, or from third-party services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the preceding 12 months.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account without prior notice if you breach these Terms. Sections 5, 7 and 9 survive termination.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. For significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction over disputes. Mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence are unaffected.
13. Additional terms for Apple
If you obtained the app from the App Store: these Terms are between you and Rovia, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or for providing maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You may use the app only on Apple devices that you own or control and in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service.
